Hey. I do Dragon Boating. It is a really cool sport that I always wanted to try. It all began when my friend invited me to her mother's regatta. All I wanted to do then was eat the wontons that were on sale. I was not really interested in the actual sport but as time went on I became really interested in the sport and I wanted to do it, so as soon as the day came for me to sign up for clubs I chose Dragon Boat. It was a really hard decision at first because I also wanted to do Cheerleading but it was on the same day as water training so I gave up Cheerleading and chose Dragon Boat. It would have been nice to do both but I am glad I chose only one. I love Dragon Boat soooooo much! It is really hard at first and I was constantly in pain as I was working a lot of muscles that I never worked before.
Dragon Boat is a great way for me to stay fit. We work really hard. Recently I  took part in my first regatta. The amount of work, time and effort that went into all my practice sessions was unbelievable. I put heart and soul out there every time I hit the water. The practice paid off as my team gained a silver medal. Pretty good for first timers. I would recommend this sport for anyone who is interested. It a really great sport to be in and you meet really nice people.

Hi. I was dancing for 10 years before I stopped and I recently started back. I am now in Grade 4 and it is a lot of work. When I first started back my feet were killing me. As I did not do Grade 1-3 I had no idea what my teacher was talking about when she said to do a Grand Battemont and a Changement. I worked really hard at it and now I know what to do when she calls these names. Ballet is not as easy as it looks. You have to dedicate a lot of your time if you want to perfect just one dance far less to perfect all the grades. You must have a lot of discipline and  be a fast learner. The teacher moves at a fast pace so if you miss a class well, good luck catching up.
I enjoy dancing even if it is a boat load of work and your feet hurt and beg you to stop. I worked and worked at my Grand Battemont and now I am really good at it. As I learn something new I practice and practice until I am satisfied that I can do it properly. What I would recommend is teaching someone else in your family or even a friend how to do your bar exercises or your dance. Teaching them will help you to practice and you will get better. That's what I did and it really helped me. If you want to try dancing I say go for it and try it. You may end up like me and love it or you may not, who knows.

Hi my name is Xavier. I play the violin. I have been playing it for 3 years now. It is a lovely instrument to play once you do not sound like as squeeling pig every time you make a mistake. A violin is made up of the pegs, finger board, scroll, bridge, fine tuners, tailpiece, chinrest and F holes. At first it is really hard to play and your fingers hurt a lot, but as I continued to practise I sound better and better until I was able to play a song exactly how it is supposed to sound and be played( well sort of). When I first started I knew nothing and I was too ashamed to play for anyone including my teacher because I thought I would make them go deaf but as time went on I improved.
Then along came my first violin exam. I was scared out of my wits! But thanks to my violin teacher I was well prepared for my exam and I got a Merit. It is a boat load of work and sometimes I just want to give up but then when you are able to play a piece of music that you love it feels amazing!  Recently I did my Grade 2 exam and I was still scared. Before, I would not think twice about putting that violin down but on the day of the exam I refused to put it down. My teacher had to tell me to put it down. I clung to it as if my life depended on it. I hope I did well. I have to wait for a really long time to get my results. Right now I am working towards perfecting a song that I heard and loved the idea of playing it on the violin. If you like an instrument you should try it out and see how it goes. Who knows, one day you may be successful but you will never know unless you try.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Beethoven are just two of the many great composers that ever lived! I learnt about them from having to play parts from their musical pieces. Mozart began to play music at a very young age. When he was five he was composing music all by himself! He was able to know which notes went well together and which did not.

Book Review Of The Red Pyramid

I loved this book!!!!!! It was filled with excitement and always had me at the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I can't wait to read another one of these books!! Personally I love books that are interesting to read and never get too boring. Rick Riordan did just that. He was able to write a book that never had a dull moment. The Red Pyramid is a Fantasy, Adventure novel based on Egyptian mythology, the first novel of The Kane Chronicles series.
Basically the book was about two siblings Sadie and Carter Kane whose mother had died and they lived apart from one another. Sadie lived with her maternal grandparents and Carter travelled the world with his father Julius. Julius takes Sadie and Carter to the British Museum where he tries to summon  Osiris, the Egyptian God of the Underworld. An explosion shatters the Rosetta Stone and unleashes Set the evil god of Chaos. Set imprisons Julius in a golden coffin and Carter and Sadie are forced to flee for their lives. To save their dad , they must embark on a dangerous quest from Cairo and Paris to the American South-west and discover the truth about their family's connection to the House of Life. THE PHARAOHS OF ANCINT EGYPT ARE FAR FROM DEAD AND BURIED...AND SO, UNFORTUNATELY ARE THEIR GODS.....
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves non-stop action, adventure, mystery and excitement!!!
